We’re receiving a number of reports that customers are experiencing problems trying to pay for our courses during our sale weekend. We’ve been looking into this and have been unable to identify what has been at the root of the problems. Many customers have been able to process purchases as normal, so it is difficult to identify what factors are preventing some customers completing purchases.

Our available payment methods have changed in the past few months as a result of changes to the PayPal setup and we are temporarily not able to take payments over the phone. However, we are in the final stages of setting up new payment systems with a well-known provider of online payment services. We are hopeful that the new payment system will be in place by next weekend.

We will be writing to all customers whose payments did not go through as soon as the new payment system is available, and we will, of course, honour the discount codes offered during our sale.

Since many of our customers have had no problems whatsoever, we would encourage any new customers to try processing the payment, but if you encounter any problems please feel free to leave a message in the comments of this post which may help to identify any potential similarities with problematic payments, e.g. card type, location, etc.

Thank you for your patience and we assure you once more that we’re doing everything we can to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.

Update: 27th May 2013

We’ve decided to extend our sale until 31st May. It is hoped that the new payment system will be in place by then. If not, we will still honour the coupon code for any customers who have had problems during the sale. For full information about the extended sale, please see this post.
