Coming up in this lesson:

Welcome back to our Coffee Break Spanish listeners who have been patiently waiting for the continuation of the series. In lessons 31-40 you’ll be following a mini soap-opera featuring English student Andrew who is learning Spanish in Spain, and his new friend María-José, who’ll be getting to know him and helping him with his Spanish. This lesson will help you get to grips with hearing real Spanish in context.

Please note that lesson 31 of Season 2 was originally known as lesson 231 of Coffee Break Spanish. We have renumbered the lessons of each season as lessons 1-40 to make things more simple for our listeners.

What? Where’s Kara?! Ahh man! You guys fail. When you got a good thing you stick with it.

Umm… have you listened to the lesson??!! Kara is there, just like before! But Kara’s Spanish isn’t quite up to playing the part of a native Spanish speaker – that’s why María-José is played by Lorraine. If you listen to the lesson you’ll hear that Kara is involved all the way through as we help her understand that Spanish conversation.

I really enjoyed this lesson and appreciated the addition of Lorraine. Made it more interesting. A side note, the video that played with the lesson today was for lesson 71 of CBFrench.

Thanks, Flo. Did you mean the video on this page? As far as I can see it’s definitely for Coffee Break Spanish, not French. Has anyone else had this problem?

The vid is for CBSpanish. El hecho de que Mark’s espanol es muy bonito cada dia! xo, carol

Mark, the video that played in the early morning hours (USA) of 1/18/11 was as I stated; you started out speaking French, which surprised me as I also speak French, and then spoke in English about lesson 71 of CBFrench. The video playing today, 1/19/11, is for CBSpanish. Anyway, still a great podcast!
