un sandwich (m) - “a sandwich”
une salade (f) - “a salad”
le jambon (m) - “(the) ham”
le fromage (m) - “(the) cheese”
le poulet (m) - “(the) chicken”
le poisson (m) - “(the) fish”

Each of today’s words are given with the appropriate word for “a” or “the”, and we’ve listed if words are masculine (m) or feminine (f).
