Posted on May 3, 2009

In this first episode of Season 2, Mark and Alba chat about what they were doing during the vacaciones de Semana Santa. Both Mark and Alba have been travelling, and Mark has some buenas noticias. In the intermedio José provides us with some interesting phrases to talk about things in the past, and language points covered include the combination of indirect and direct object pronouns when combined with an imperative, when to use sólo and when to use solo, and the tricky verb cundir

Here’s a quick and easy way to remember the difference between solo with and without an accent:

**Look at those letters sitting there all ALONE.

ONLY this one carries an accent.**

So alone = solo no accent,
only = solo with an accent.

    Loving this site. x K

Greetings from Skye. I have been learning spanish off and on for the last 2 or 3 years. My wife and I do bed and breakfast and I enjoy trying to converse with spanish guests and they are always pleasantly surprised that there are some of us english speakers making the effort. They often ask what I do and I have failed to come up with a reply that is not long winded or incomprehensible. I am an access officer dealing with the ‘right to roam’legislation, non compliant signs like ‘no entry’,locked gates etc. plus creating new footpath networks and repairing paths into the uplands. Is there a snappy way of descibing this in spanish?
Regarding this lesson, does caminitos mean footpaths?

And Mark, thanks for suggesting you dont have to have good weather to enjoy Skye, we aint seem much of it lately !

He escuchado la biblioteca entera de la primera temporada. Me gusta mucho por eso acabo de comprar una membresía premium de la segunda temporada, pero tengo una queja. Deben hacer videos así que pueda ver la cara de Alba todos los días <3
