Following our recent musical episodes, listeners have been asking us for some suggestions of Spanish-language singers and groups. In episode 24 we’ve provided some suggestions, talking about Spanish groups Amaral and Ojos de Brujo, and we’ve also mentioned Colombian Juanes and the renowned Panamanian salsa performer Ruben Blades. Language points include more subjunctive talk, the use of al + infinitive, and in addition to introducing some phrases meaning “to keep up to date”, José sings!

We’ve unfortunately had a short delay last weekend with the publication of Coffee Break French 54, Coffee Break Spanish 24 and Show Time Spanish 24. As you know we’re a small family company so when flu hits, it tends to hit us all! We’re now getting back on track and will release the shows just as soon as we possibly can. The episodes which were due last weekend should be available today, and those due this weekend will be pushed back until Wednesday 3rd June. By the weekend of 7-8 June we should be back on track.
We’d like to apologise to all our listeners and in particular to anyone who has an open support query. We’ll be in touch very soon.

A second unit of our popular School Run French course has just been launched. School Run French is aimed at younger learners, aged 6-11, and provides a gradual and progressive introduction to the French language in 8-minute lessons, perfect for the “school run”, or any other short journey. Pack 2 introduces the topic of the family and children will learn the words for the members of their family and how to introduce them. School Run French also outlines French grammar in very simple terms, and this pack introduces masculine and feminine words for “the” and “my”. Each episode features a number of words and phrases which are then practised in interactive quizzes and translation games. Please note that Episode 1 of Pack 2 is available in our public feed, but that episodes 2-5 will only be available to purchase in our store. Each pack costs £4.50 GBP, and includes 40 minutes of audio lessons and worksheets/puzzles for each lesson. Take advantage of our special bundle offer and purchase packs 1 and 2 together for £7.75 GBP.
Pack 2 introduces the topic of the family. In episode 1, learners will learn the words for “family”, “mother”, “father”, “sister” and “brother”. Note that this is the only episode of pack 2 which will be available in the free series. All five episodes of pack 2 can be purchased in our store along with printable puzzle sheets and wordlists.
