Alba presents a review of the film La Lengua de las Mariposas in the intermedio, and José’s topic of the week is paying compliments to people. Grammar points covered include the use of sí que for emphasis, and talking about how long you did things for in the past using both durante and a more simple preterite tense.

Ví La lengua de las mariposas. Creo que es una película muy triste. Los momentos felices no hacen más que añadir a la tristeza. Mi escena favorita fue cuando el hermano tocó musica para su infatuación china. Lloré un poco. Empecé una cuenta con Netflix para ver películas en español. Por eso me gusta mucho el intermedio nuevo. Deseo que ustedes recomiendan muchas más películas. Mi película favorita en español es El laberinto del fauno de Guillermo del Toro.
